You should have already received your stimulus payment for 2008. If you did not, consult your tax advisor, or IRS representative. If you can confirm that you did not yet received your economic stimulus check for 2008, you may be eligible for a first-time credit this year. You may also be eligible for a larger stimulus payment in 2009. Both of these stimulus payments are referred to as Recovery Rebate Credits. If you already received your economic stimulus check, you should note that it should not be included as income on your tax return.
